Canadian Made for World-Wide Trade

Steel sheets Pioneer Steel Manufacturers Limited is a Canadian owned and operated manufacturer of steel buildings. We adhere to the highest standard of fabrication in our steel building kits, displaying the quality synonymous with Canadian craftmanship.

Every one of our steel buildings feature 100% AZM180 Galvalume Plus™ steel produced specifically for Pioneer Steel by ArcelorMittal Dofasco, a steel mill located in Hamilton, Ontario. Galvalume Plus™ steel panels are made from a unique aluminum-zinc alloy providing superior corrosion resistance and heat reflectivity.

Since Pioneer Steel buildings use domestically sourced steel, we are able to purchase premium quality material at large volumes for a lower price, combine that with lower material shipping costs and our in-house manufacturing process, and we are able to pass our incredible cost savings to our customers.

Pioneer Steel buildings are sold around the world and we have representation in many countries including Japan, Italy, England, Ireland and Chile to name a few.

Pioneer Steel buildings are made with superior steel. Not all manufactures of steel building kits use Galvalume Plus™ (AZM180) steel. We use the thickest coating of Galvalume Plus™ for all gauges and automatically include longer and higher-grade bolts for 18 gauge and thicker buildings.

Most of our competitors use AZ55 alloy on 22- and 20-gauge buildings and a galvanized coated steel for 18 gauge and up. These alloys don’t allow our competitors to offer even half as long of a warranty as we do, our Galvalume Plus™ buildings are guaranteed against corrosion for 40 years.

As per the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) Section 4.3.4.3 - It is mandatory that all Steel Building System manufacturers supplying buildings into Canada must be certified to the requirements of CSA-A660. Pioneer Steel is proud to meet all requirements of CSA-A660 Quality Certification for Steel Building Systems, and is Canadian Welding Bureau certified to CSA Standard 47.1 for fusion welding of steel.

Because the manufacturer of these buildings is often remote from the building site and buildings are frequently sold through a dealer or contractor, and because local code enforcement officials may lack the capability to check the structural analysis of a building, problems may occur in determining the acceptability of such structures. It is the intent of this Standard and the accompanying certification program to help alleviate such problems.

This Standard requires that the manufacturer's production facilities, staff, and quality assurance systems be capable of reliably producing acceptable steel buildings. To ensure that these design and production capabilities are met and maintained, the Standard requires a manufacturing facility to be certified by a certification agency. In turn, the manufacturer certifies each building for a specific location by means of a certificate of design and manufacturing conformance, signed and sealed by a qualified professional engineer. This certificate lists key design criteria for review by code enforcement officials.”
